"Olomana Gardens Permaculture and Aquaponies is a DVD revealing the beauty and inner workings of Olomana Gardens, a permaculture farm meant to serve as a model of a modern, sustainable food growing system that can be applied to small-scale farms, as well as food production for residential lots. Showcasing integrated systems of animals, composting and vermicomposting, and aquaponics (a combination of aquaculture and hydroponics), Olomana Gardens is as much a beautiful tour of verdant green as it is a demonstration of practical means for future food production. A wonderful and educational viewing experience, extraordinarily timely in today's era of rising food and fuel prices, particularly recommended for public and school library DVD collections."

June 28th was the Paddle Out Funeral Ceremony for our good friend Jeri Orfali, who lost her heroic battle with cancer. Here is the video tribute of us taking her back out into that special place of healing, the ocean.
Jeri discovered the healing power of the ocean in Hawaii. She loved the people of Hawaii and she became a Hawaiian at heart (she constantly studied the history, music, literature, and the ocean culture). Early on, Jeri decided to fight the cancer using three principles:
1) Fight the cancer very aggressively--she had three operations and nine years of chemo (a world record) 2) Live every day to the fullest 3) Leave the rest to fate
We will all miss Jeri, but we'll also take a small measure of solace and large measure of inspiration when we go out swimming, canoeing, or surfing in the waters of Waikiki.
